PomeFresh juice is squeezed from the wildly grown pomegranate and bilberry fruits and are certified organic by IMO SCESp004.
Blueberry is certainly better known than Bilberry. They are very similar but they are not the same. Actually, both are not referring to a single species but several of them. Bilberry is a native of the temperate and subarctic regions in Europe. Blueberry is a native of North America. While Blueberry is mostly cultivated, Bilberry is hardly seen in cultivation but almost entirely grown wildly. And this is exactly why Bilberry is more prized – due to its rarity and natural entirety.
For most fruits, such as apples, nutritionists would recommend the fruits over the juice. That’s because you can have intake of more nutrients when you eat the whole fruits. This is not the case for PomeFresh pomegranate juice. PomeFresh juice is made from the whole fruit – including the skin. Pomegranate fruits have a thick leathery skin which is not suitable for human consumption. However the skin is the where most of the mineral and nutrients are. This is probably why traditional medicine such as Chinese Medicine uses the pomegranate skin as the medicine. When you eat the fruit, you can only eat the seeds and pulp, not the skin. When you drink PomeFresh juice, you take in all the nutrients including those from the skin. This is why taking PomeFresh juice gives more benefits than eating the fresh fruits.
No! We take pride that there is no preservatives added to the juice. To ensure safe consumption and a reasonable shelf life, the juice is bottled using pasteurization techniques from Europe. With this process, the glass bottled juice can be stored up to 24 months under room temperature without compromising its safety and quality.

Flax FAQ
Flaxseed, or Flax in short is a seed from the flaxseed plant. Flaxseed is believed to be originated in the Middle East since ancient times. It is now cultivated in many parts of the world especially in the past 1~2 decades due to more demands as people getting to know its health benefits. Countries such as Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand and China are among major producers. Two main varieties are in the market: brown and golden. Though some producers deliberately position the golden variety as more superior but scientifically, their contents are having no known difference.
Lignans are natural plant chemicals. Flaxseed is the richest source of lignans. Lignans boost the production of a substance attached to oestrogen and carries it out of the body. Researchers believe that lignans have antioxidant properties. Flaxseed has 100 to 800 percent more lignans than any other grains or vegetables.
Barlean’s Organic Flaxseed Oil is cold-pressed, unrefined and certified organic. It is an excellent source of Omega-3 and also contains Omega-6 and Omega-9. A deficiency in either Omega-3 or Omega 6 EFAs is known to lead to poor health. Flax is nature’s richest source of Omega-3 and a plant chemical called lignans. Recent research show that lignans has strong cancer fighting properties which are very beneficial to people stricken with cancers or are concerned about them.
Omega-9 is not an essential fatty acid. This is because they can be created by the human body from unsaturated fat and are therefore not essential in the diet. The lack of a ω-6 double bond also keeps them from participating in the reactions that form the eicosanoids.
Flaxseed oil is a plant-based oil high in Omega-3 (ALA). Fish eat plants and algae rich in Omega-3 ALA then convert the ALA to EPA and DHA in their bodies. Humans can convert ALA to EPA and DHA in their bodies too, especially if they reduce their consumption of Omega-6 oils and meat. In other words, you will have EPA and DHA in your body when you take flaxseed or flaxseed oil. The advantage of fish oil is that you take in EPA and DHA directly. The drawback of fish oil is that it is more expensive. There are also the pollutants the fish might take in while in the sea. Fish oil can also be a turn-off for people who do not like fishy taste. In addition to that, fish oil is a no go for people who are vegetarian.
he traditional sources of EFAs are fish, leafy green vegetables, nuts and vegetable oils. Vegetable oils commonly used in cooking are rich in Omega-6 fatty acids. Borage and Evening Primrose are also rich in Omega-6 oils. Fish and flax are rich in Omega-3 oils. Flax, by far, has the highest Omega-3 oil contents. Canola oil and walnuts have reasonably high levels of Omega-3 oil contents too.
Like protein, vitamins and minerals, Omega-3 and Omega-6 EFAs (essential fatty acids) must be obtained in proper balance from food or supplements.
